Let's Party!

Hello Friends!! My Name is Jennifer, and I am from Blue Island, Illinois.  I am the mom of 2 beautiful children, Alyssa & Hunter.
I am also a proud Army wife, and have been married to my soldier Todd, for almost 20 years!!
Crafting is such a HUGE part of my life. I have been crafting for many years, and what started out as hobby, I turned into a full time business.
I was so honored when Christopher Cropp asked me to be on his Design Team for Brutus Monroe! He really has taught me so much, and I can't wait to learn much more from him and the wonderful Design Team he has put together.
Here is my first official post:

Want to know how I made it? Follow along for step by step instructions.

The stamp set used for this, is "Let's Celebrate".

I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock, by Stampin' Up

using Memento ink "Tuxedo Black"

After hand cutting the image out, I colored the cake using my

Spectrum Noir Markers PP1 and PP5 with a shading technique.

Then used the shading technique on the icing. The Spectrum Noir colors used

for this are LV1, LV2 and PL4.

Spectrum Noir colors used to color the "8" candle are

LV1, BT4, FL2 and CT4.

I used White cardstock for the card base (4"x5.5"), and for the background paper I used

WaterColor Dots by Recollections.

Using a white and green ribbon, I tied a band around the center of the background paper.

The background paper was cut at 3.75"x 5.25".

Using my tape gun, I attached the background to the card base.

I then taped down the cake to the lower part of the card, and used some

pop dots the attach the "8" candle.

These two sets by Brutus Monroe, "Let's Celebrate" and "Happy Birthday To You"

were used to make the flags for the next step.

I used Stampin' Up! Pink Pirouette to ink the edges of this flag.

I used Powder Puff "Very Berry" to ink the edges of this flag, and Spectum Noir

PL1 and BT4 to color in the letters

I used Stampin' Up! Coastal Cabana to ink the edges around the card.

I rounded the corners of the flags and attached them to the card using pop dots.

I hope this card has inspired you to be creative. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Crafting!!
