As paper crafters and artists we take inspiration from all sorts of things. One of those is cards by other crafters. However, one thing that many crafters do is take that idea and change it whether a little bit or completely. Maybe it was a color scheme, a stamp, a die or a technique, the possibilities are endless. Christopher has been inspired by the Inspiration Team with the projects and has decided to start a new segment on the Brutus Monroe YouTube Channel. Each week (or so) he is going to recreate or "Brutify'' one of these cards. We thought we would share these projects on the blog along with the replay.
The first project was by Inspiration Team Leader Candi.
Candi pulled out the Solarium Window Die and some gold cardstock from her stash for this card. She adhered it to a piece of the cherry blossom paper to create the illusion of a garden. Then she combined a variety of Embossing Powder and stamps from the Wings of Lace release for a focal point.
Now here is Christopher's Brutified Version:
Christopher changed Candi's A2 card and made it a Gate Fold Card. He also substituted up the Gold matte paper with some Spiced Cider Glitterstock. Then he stamped the images on some handmade paper using some Simon Hurley Create Inks. He used this same paper to cut the doily image. For some added texture he added flower and gems.
