With summer almost behind us I am sooooo happy to welcome FALL... my most favorite time of the year... not too hot... not too cold. And the best part... I love watching the leaves change. It's the season of hot apple cider and warm pumpkin pie.
Speaking of PUMPKINS... I am so excited to get to premier the newest in
Bru/ Mo stamps... Say hello to fall with the new

With fall being a season with darker rich tones... it was only right to make a my project just as dark and rich!
I started by stamping my pumpkin in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored my pumpkins in Spectrum Noir Markers in GB6,GB7, OR1, and OR2 for the main part of the pumpkin and for the stem DG3 and DG4.
I then embossed a 4.5"x 6.5" piece of marigold cardstock using an Anna Griffin embossing folder called Baroque Vine Frame. I repeated the step with piece of green patterned paper just slightly bigger than the window section of the folder. I then cut off the excess paper leaving just the window piece.
I then added depth and more color by airbrushing around the edges of my paper with my
ebrush and Spectrum Noir Marker in GB6. Then ebrushed directly onto the scrollwork using Spectrum Noir in OR2. And lastly, to tone down the colors a bit, I used a sponge dauber to apply some VersaMagic Jumbo Java throughout.
I also ebrushed my little window piece with Spectrum Noir GB4. And then stamped my sentiment... again using my Momento Tuxedo Black ink pad.
I hand cut (fussy cut) my pumpkins out and embossed them using an embossing stylus and foam/rubber mouse pad. Then I added 3D foam adhesive to the backs.
I then cut two flourishes from Sizzix's Decorative Flourish Sizzlit set. I ebrushed them and adhered them to my card front using Diamond Glaze.
I matted my embossed panel onto a 4.75"x5.75" piece of cardstock and then adhered it with my
Xyron Mega Runner to my card front onto a 5"x7" card base.
Lastly, I highlighted areas of my card using a white opaque marker. I really think those bits of white really make it pop off those dark colors!
And here is my final card!!
I love how this turned out with all the gorgeous FALL colors!!
