Emboss Resist With Ink Smooshing

Hi there! I am Simon Hurley one of the newest Brutus|Monroe designers. In today's video I am excited to share a fun card featuring emboss resist Distress Ink smooshing. I will be using the Wonderful World stamp set to create today's card!

To emboss the sentiment and flowers I used Brutus|Monroe embossing ink and Gilded embossing powder. I also used the smooth side of Distress watercolor card stock.

To create the ink smooshed background I used the Distress Inks in the colors: Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio, and Mermaid Lagoon. I love how these four new Distress colors look when used together!

To add a bit of extra detail I used a black 0.005 Micron pen to draw in a stitched border around the flowers.

Enjoy the video!

Congrats To you Simon for being chosen to be on this design team! I had never heard of Brutus|Monroe before. It is always nice to find some place new to me to stop and even shop. Ok now for your card, that gold EP is gorgeous and works so well with the colors you chose to use. I love this technique because even though you have some control there still is a random element to it. Great job and congrats again you are going places Kiddo!
