April Stamp Club - Birthday Shaker Card
I am honored to be a guest designer for April on the Brutus|Monroe blog. My name is Adam and I enjoy crafting: card making, mixed media and art journaling. I am showcasing the April Stamp Club set. Supply List:
Brutus Monroe April Stamp Club Stamp Set
Brutus Monroe alabaster card stock 110 lbs (cut the following pieces)
4.25x11" card base
4x5.25" layer 1
3.5x3.5" window background
4x4" window frame
.5" strip for sentiment
Oz, Cornflower, Aubergine, Zest and Jack-o-Lantern
Dies:
4x5.25" stitched rectangle
2x2" stitched square
2 5/8 x 2 5/8" stitched square
Other Supplies:
Brutus Monroe all purpose craft glue
foam tape
enamel dots
various sequins and seed beads
blending tool
3x3" acetate for window
Step 1 - use 1/4 sheet of alabaster card stock blending Oz, Cornflower and Aubergine ink

Step 2 - die cut rectangle 4x5.25" using blended background paper. Die cut 2" square centered near top of layer.
Step 3 - die cut square 2 5/8" out of 4x4" alabaster piece then die cut 2" square out of the previous square forming the frame.
Step 4 - blend Aubergine ink onto frame.
Step 5 - stamp gift boxes onto 3.5" square of alabaster paper. Stamp the large gift box in Oz and Jack-o-Lantern ink. Stamp the small gift box in Cornflower and Zest ink.
Step 6 - stamp Happy Birthday sentiment on .5" strip of alabaster paper in Cornflower ink.
Step 7 - use Brutus Monroe glue to affix frame around opening in layer 1.
Step 8 - glue acetate to back of blended layer 1 over opening.
Step 9 - apply foam tape to back of layer 1 completely surrounding the square opening. Add additional foam tape to edges to pop up layer.
Step 10 - add sequins and beads to stamped square.
Step 11 - center layer 1 over sequins/beads and affix making shaker box.
Step 12 - glue shaker layer to card base.
Step 13 - use foam tape to affix sentiment to card.
Step 14 - add enamel dots.
