A Red and Green Christmas!
Hello Fellow Crafters! Welcome, and Thanks for Stopping By!
When we think of Christmas colors, traditionally we think of red and green. Although, Christmas colors can be absolutely anything you want it to be, for today's card, I wanted to stick with the traditional, an abundance of traditional, a red and green Christmas... with a touch of silver!
To create the background, I used the Brutus Monroe Chroma Mists, Leaf Green and Candy Apple Red and sprayed them on an A2 sized card panel. While waiting for the background to dry, I stamped and die-cut out all of my images. I used the images from the No Place Like Home stamp set and the No Place Like Holidays stamp set. After I colored the images with copic markers (G14, R24, W1, W4), I stamped my sentiment from the Snow Scenes stamp set and embossed it using the Icicle Ultra Fine Embossing Powder.
Since I wanted to have my card viewed as a picture frame, I used a scalloped framed die and die-cut that out of silver pearlescent paper. Once my background was dry, I adhered it to my A2 Brutus Monroe Pre Cut & Pre Scored Card Base. First I adhered my door and wreath to the card panel, and then adhered my silver frame. Next, I arranged/adhered my ornaments and presents along the base of the card. Lastly, I fussy cut my sentiment and adhered it to the card panel using the Brutus Monroe Foam Tape.
