Adventures with True Love
If you have been following Brutus Monroe for a while, you may have already seen the cute stamps in the True Love series. These stamps feature a boy and a girl going on adventures together. The August release included two new stamps in this release. I love creating with these two darling characters, so I grabbed these new stamps, colored them with my new STYLEFILE MARKERS, and made a few simple cards.
For my first card, I used the new TRUE LOVE: HALLOWEEN stamp. This stamp set features our two little characters in halloween apparel and riding on a broomstick. Such a fun image! I colored them in using my STYLEFILE markers, and then set them aside while I worked on my background.
For the background, I used some watercolor paper that I cut down to slightly smaller than my card base. I used some dark blue watercolor and also mixed some gold POWDERED ELEMENTS in with it so it would look like a glimmering dusk sky. I then stamped a few stars, added a piece of washi tape, and then adhered my characters down with a little foam adhesive.
The next stamp in this series is TRUE LOVE: WEDDING DAY. Admit it, we all wanted to see these two get married, right? I know I did! I colored this image with my STYLEFILE MARKERS as well, and then adhered it to my card base.
I then took another panel of cardstock and embossed it with Brutus Monroe's new embossing folder, PETAL LACE. Then, I cut a circle window out of this panel and adhered it over my image, using foam adhesive to pop it up a bit. For a finishing touch, I stamped and colored one of the bows from the new stamp set, SKETCHED BOW. Not only is this new bow stamp set perfect for building gift tags, you can also add a little bow embellishment to any project. How cute would it be to make planner clips with these!
Thanks for stopping by to see these new stamps from the TRUE LOVE series! I hope you've been inspired to create.
Until next time,
