Alley Cat Spot Light Card
Hey there! Welcome to the B|M Inspiration Team Blog. Thank you for joining me for this Alley Cat Spot Light Card.
Brutus Monroe released this stamp in June 2019 along with a a ton of other stamps. It features two kitties in looking at each other in front of a row of apartments. I really enjoy the sketchy feel of this stamp. Its one of my absolute favorites from the release.
I colored it in Tuscan colors and made a gatefold card with it already, here.
For today's card, I wanted a night scene in the alley and a focus on one of the kitties! So I stamped and heat embossed the image on a piece of heavy card stock with Raven Embossing Powder.
Then, I masked off a triangle area from the window down around the cat with some purple tape from ThermoWeb. I blended Midnight ink down the front of the panel with a Life-changing Blender Brush. To darken the very top edge, I used a bit of Raven Detail Ink in my brush.
I peeled off the mask and blended some Phone Book Surface Ink in the window and down the empty triangle left from the masking. I added a bit of the yellow ink around the bottom of the panel to spread the light.
To finish off the panel, I stamped the SOUL MATE sentiment from the Butterfly Heat Stamp Set to the left of the kitty. I adhered the panel to the front of a black card base and called it a day!
Thank you for spending some time with me on the blog today! I have sprinkled links to the products I used throughout the post. You will also find a grid of supplies below if you are interested in shopping!
Have a wonderful rest of your day and remember to create your own ending.
