Altered workbook with Paint Stamps Stencils and Glimmer Mists
Linda here to share an Altered workbook with Paint Stamps Stencils and Glimmer Mists. I was digging around in my plethora of papers and I found these old Toastmaster Work books that were well over 10 years old. I am Not a HOARDER. lol I was about to throw these out when I decided, I can give these a new life.
And that is just what I did! I used some inexpensive craft paint, gesso, Stencils, The Wave Background in Locomotive Ink From Brutus Monroe and Tattered Angles Glimmer Mists.
Using an old gift card or one of those plastic credit cards that come in the mail that are not real, I spread the paint on the pages. Once I had the pages covered with paint I then used a brayer and stencils with white acrylic paint or white gesso to add some texture.
When the paint had dried I then used the Wave Background stamp using the Locomotive Surface ink in a random manner. By the way if you don't have a large block, just use your hands for this technique. I liked the uneven print that was created because I wasn't being perfect and didn't use a block.
If you follow me at all, then you know that I love to add Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists to projects. I ended up using Dazzling Diamonds and a pink that I had in my stash. The shimmer on the papers is so pretty and very hard to capture in photos.
I did create a video of the whole process of making this Altered workbook with Paint Stamps Stencils and Glimmer Mists
Now that I've laid a beautiful foundation this Altered workbook with Paint Stamps Stencils and Glimmer Mists is ready to use as a journal. I may end up adding items to the pages like a junk journal or I may just journal directly on the pages. I've not decided yet.
Hopefully this inspired you to take a look at that pile of junk mail or old workbooks and use these in a new way.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today. Feel free to follow me on Facebook to see other projects I create.
