Autumn Thanks with Therm O Web Deco Foil
Hello Everyone and Happy Hump Day! I hope you all are enjoying our collaboration with Therm O Web as much as we are! Today I'm using the Brutus Monroe Autumn Thanks stamp set along with a new stencil and beautiful Copper Deco foil.
The copper is so beautiful on the brown cardstock! I used a lot of products on this card, so a little warning, this is a fairly lengthy post.
I started with the ICraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel and a new stencil from Brutus Monroe called Tire Tracks. I taped my cardstock down to my media mat and then placed my stencil on top of my cardstock and taped it down. With my palette knife I spread the transfer gel over the stencil making sure to have an even amount. Then placed any remaining gel back into the jar. I removed my tape and lifted my stencil straight up. When the gel is dry it will be clear and ready to foil.
While that was drying I began with my leaves. I used the Autumn Thanks stamp set from Brutus Monroe and pulled out one of the leaf stamps to stamp with Deco Foil Transfer Gel. I used my palette knife and spread the gel on a large acrylic block. Not too thick, but even, I began stamping on to my cardstock.
They looked pretty good on the first try, so I set those aside to dry to work on my sentiment.
For the sentiment I used a Thanks die from my stash, and the ICraft Adhesive Foam Sheets. When using the foam sheets place your foam side up, foil pretty side up, die cutting side down, ( read directions) ask me how I know) yep! A mess! I don't know what I thought I was doing! You live and learn.
So about an hour or two later all of the transfer gel was dry. I ran all of my pieces through my laminater. I fussy cut my leaves and used the ICraft Sticky Dots to adhere them together, tied baker's twine around them and used the ICraft Mixed Media Adhesive to adhere them to my top panel. I remove the release paper from my foiled Thanks die cut and placed that at the top of my card and added Brutus Monroe Marigold sequins.
And that completed my card!
Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to visit us and Therm O Web all week for more inspiration!
