Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing one of my favorite things to do...mixed media! I created an ATC (Artist Trading Card) using paint and Media Paste and stamping and it was just so me and so much fun! I began by using Brutus Monroe Gesso on a blank chipboard ATC base.
Applying gesso allows other mediums to not be absorbed into the chipboard and also allows for movement. Once my surface was prepped, I used the Star Wreath slimline stencil and
Media Paste and worked left to right applying plain white media paste, blending in blue, blue green and yellow media paste that was mixed with aqua pigments.i blended the blue green area with my finger to flatten it out a bit because i knew that's where the largest part of my quote was going to be. Once everything was dry, I added white dots of acrylic paint. Next, I used stickers from my stash and added my quote "Be KIND and embrace the journey." Once those were in place, I used the Christopher's Shoes stamp and added shoe stamps on the top and bottom using Raven Detail ink. Lastly, I added a few enamel dots from my stash and coordinating ink blending around the edge of the card.
