Hello everyone! Jenn here sharing two Holiday cards I created this week using the new Die of the month "Beautiful Bauble".
If you are like me and love to incorporate paper piecing into your cards then this is the perfect die for you! I had so much fun adding color and patterns.
The two cards are the same size 5 X 7 as well as the same basic layout. I started with the simple blue/white/silver traditional palette and then I decided I needed one a bit more modern. This is where the
Winter Cabin 6X6 Paper Pad worked perfectly.
For the traditional card: The die was cut three times. This was done in Navy, light blue, and silver.
The navy die cut was cleaned and adhered to white cardstock. The light blue and silver pieces were placed in negative spaces. This was all then adhered to the patterned holiday paper leaving a bit of the white as a border and then placed onto a navy card base using scrap cardboard to lift it. The bottom portion has a strip of the patterned and a strip of the silver followed by a fun silver ribbon bow. Merry Christmas sentiment was stamped and added to the card.
For the modern card the die was cut four times. This was done in red, black, white, and the gorgeous plaid. The red was used as the base this time adhered to kraft followed by a plaid bow, white tree limbs, and black accents! I love this combo. This was then adhered to more of the plaid paper and onto a black card base. The bottom is adorned with a small strip of the plaid and a black ribbon and bow.
If you are not familiar with the technique of paper piecing it is exactly as it sounds. By cutting the die from a mix of colors and patterns you can then place the main die cut onto paper and add the different pieces into the negative spaces. So fun!
Thanks So Much for visiting the blog and viewing my post today!
As always, Have an amazing creative day!
Jenn
