Birdhouse
Hello Crafting Friends,
Thought it would be fun to make a general all purpose card today. Using Brutus Monroe's May Stamp Club and Feathered Friends Stamp Set. We can always use a card to send a quick note to that person in our lives that we haven't kept in touch with as we would have liked. Check out all the great stamps on Brutus Monroe's site to find the right stamp or combination of stamps for you to create that note card you have been meaning to send.
This card started with the oval Simple Blends Stencil from Brutus Monroe. I blended several shades of blue in the stencil opening to create the sky background. The next step was to stamp the birdhouse and the tree branch (stamped two branches) on Alabaster cardstock. Using my scan n cut I cut the pieces out. Using StyleFile Markers I colored the pieces. I shaded the birdhouse using colored pencils.
Finally stamped the sentiment onto the card layer and used foam tape to attach the branches and the birdhouse to the card layer. I did use twine in brown to simulate the hanging of the birdhouse to the branch.
Added a few clear acrylic bubbles and attached the layer to a green card base.
