Cards for Dudes Don't Have to be Brown!
Hey friends!
I'm excited to be on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a card that some people may not consider a 'masculine' card. Whenever I see people asking for help with masculine cards, it seems people tend to get stuck on cards for guys needing to be nature colored - brown, dark green, etc. I don't know about you guys, but I know plenty of dudes that like bold, bright colors as well! Today is for those dudes.
To start off my card, I stamped out the Bold Alphabet Lowercase outline letters and colored them in with a blue alcohol marker. I added a comma as well so that I could make the sentiment longer.
I used Raven Detail Ink to stamp out 'thank you' from the Jars of Love stamp set above 'dude'. Next, I used the 'you're the best' sentiment from Super Sentimental and stamped it below 'dude.' This formed a longer sentiment, 'thank you dude, you're the best.' I love it!
I decided to brighten things up by using a piece of rainbow patterned paper from the Bold Rainbow Paper Pad. I cut a strip and placed it on the right side of my white card stock. I used a piece of gold glitterstock on the edge to give it a more finished look.
I popped my card panel up on foam tape for a bit of dimension and mounted it on a white A2 sized card base. That finished off my card for today! What do you think? Would you send this to a dude in your life?
