Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Button, so good to be back up on the blog again. New year is not far away, and sometimes we focus on Christmas so much we forget to craft some goodies to ring in the year! So why not create some fun modern bold New year cards as invitations for your New Year party!
Card details:
To start the card, I used the Paint Spots stencil and applied Deco Foil Transfer gel over this onto black cardstock. This was left to dry until clear and the foiled with my Minc machine in Gold however, you can use a laminator as well.
I trimmed the panel down to quarter of an inch smaller than my card base (5" x 5) and foam mounted this onto the base for dimension. Using a cheers die in my stash, I cut this out of Gold Mirror card and created a stacked die cut sentiment for more depth and interest. I cut a circle out of vellum and adhered my stacked die cut sentiment onto this with All-purpose Craft glue.
By adhering the sentiment onto the vellum first, this meant I had somewhere to hide my adhesive when adhering the vellum to the panel. I also added a few strips of black and matching gold card underneath for more interest. Don't you just love how the vellum changes the look of the foil?!
To complete the card, I heat embossed in gold the two wine glasses and the bottle, and once set I fussy cut these out. I foam mounted the bottle and double foam mounted the top wine glass. Lastly, I embellished the card with clear liquid drops onto the vellum, mimicking the looking for bubbles floating to the surface in a drink.
