Christmas Door Card Featuring Barn Wall + Yuletide Greetings

Christmas Door Card Featuring Barn Wall + Yuletide Greetings

Hey friends!

It’s officially December, so I’m going full speed ahead with trying to get my Christmas cards finished (or started, for that matter!). I did a live video a few nights ago where I made a few Christmas cards and that really helped me get into the spirit of making!

For this card, I started with the awesome Brutus Monroe + Unity collaboration background stamp - Barn Wall. This background is so versatile! This time, I used it to create the look of a pair of wooden double doors. I stamped it in brown ink and then used a stencil brush to blend of a lighter shade of that same color of brown. I also sliced the background in half and then inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Next, I grabbed a wreath I had colored a couple of nights before. I used Yuletide Greetings for this and I even used my Cricut to cut the stamp out using the coordinating SVG files. I popped it up on foam to use as the wreath on my Christmas door. I adhered my door panels and the wreath to my white card base.

I picked out some bright silver door knobs and added them to my door. Then, I grabbed a pretty sentiment stamp. I used Raven and Alabaster Embossing Powders to heat emboss my sentiment. I felt like the card needed something else, so I stamped and colored up a piece of holly from Yuletide and fussy cut it to add to my card.

This card is so fun and festive while still have a beautiful rustic feel to it. I’m so happy with how it turned out. Have you finished your holiday cards or are you a procrastinator like me?

Hugs and love to you all,
