City Sidewalks - Orlando
We asked Stephen Kropf from 'Stampin' Steve' http://stampinsteve.blogspot.com/ to be a guest blogger for the December release. Stephen, professional dog groomer by day - card maker by night, lives in Ontario, Canada. He accidentally fell into the wonderful word of card making in 2014 and never looked back. Stamping and Copic coloring are a passion of his and he enjoys sharing that passion with others. To purchase any of the Brutus Monroe products simply go to brutusmonroe.com.
City Sidewalks - Orlando
Hi Friends!
I am happy to be back on the Brustus Monroe blog again. This time I am sharing a card I created using a stamp set from their latest release. I regularly travel to Orlando (I'm a big Orlando junkie) so when I opened my inspiration package from Brutus Monroe, I almost fell over when I saw the City Sidewalks - Orlando stamp set.
I decided to create a clean and simple card that would allow the focus to remain on the stamped image itself, I coloured the image with my copic markers using the following markers
Copics
Castle - C7, C5, C3, C1, B37, B34, E59, E57, E55, Y35, Y15
Foliage - YG09, YG03, YG01
Grass - G16, G14
Base - E59, E57, E55, E53. Y28, Y26, Y13
Once I finished coloring the snow globe, I cut it out and added some foam adhesive to the back to pop it up. I created a very clean and simple card base using pattern papers inspired from the color pallet of Orlando Reds, Blues, Blacks and yellows. I added some sequins, and heat embossed the sentiment directly on the pattern paper using some white embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed my card creation - Stephen
