Clean and Simple Special Day Card with Jess
Hey friends!
I'm excited to be back on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a clean and simple card for a wedding or even birthday.
I started off by stamping the Swallowtail Background on white card stock in Raven Detail Ink. I sliced the stamped background in half - now I have panels for two cards from just one stamped background!
Next, I stamped out the sentiment, 'on your special day,' from the Special Day stamp set. I like that this can be used for just about any occasion - versatile stamps are my favorite kind!
I also stamped out one of the butterfly images from Butterfly Sentiments 2.0 and colored it up with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I coated the butterfly with Clear Sparkle Overlay as well. I used the coordinating die to cut out the butterfly image.
I used a piece of vellum to mute the bold black background and then popped the butterfly up on foam tape for dimension. I added a few clear sequins and that finished off my card!
It was so hard for me to walk away from the card at this point. The urge to keep adding details was so strong! Do you struggle to make clean and simple cards like I do, or are they your forte?
