Color Burst backgrounds
Hello Peeps,
Today we have two cards using the same background stamp by Brutus Monroe called Tangled Ornaments. Christmas will be here before you know it and we do need to start on those cards!
I started these cards by creating a background of Alabaster embossed Tangled Ornaments. I used three to five different colors of Color Burst powder to give the background a festive look. Next the background was cut into two pieces to be used as a layer on each card. (I wanted to make A2 cards and did not want to waste any of the beautiful background that I created.)
This card's background layer was paired with a thin piece of gold shimmer paper and added to the card base. The sentiment from the Jingle All the Way Stamp Set was embossed using Alabaster powder. The card was finished off by adding a few enamel dots in coordinating color.
For my second card I again layered the Color Burst/Tangled Ornaments background with the shimmering gold paper. The sentiment from the Jingle All the Way Stamp Set was embossed in hot pink on vellum then affixed to a circle die cut in the same color as the card base. This sentiment was added to a banner and popped up in the center of the card. Finally an green embossed tree on vellum was added to the edge of the circle die cut.
