Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Button, so good to be back up on the blog again. I have a created a beautiful CAS card using the True Love Luggage stamp set. It is cute little set with some great sentiments to mix up and use of several different cards.
Congrats on your new home card details:
To start off, trim a piece smooth watercolour cardstock down to 1/4" smaller than your card panel. You need to stamp the image offset to one corner in Raven Detail Ink. On another piece of card, stamp this image again - you will fussy cut this out later so you can use a scrap of watercolour cardstock.
The Raven detail ink is great for watercolouring in once dry. However, if you prefer Alcohol markers to colour in, you can also use these with the ink. I had decided I was only going to cut out the two figures and foam mount these onto the card once finished. So when colour in, I didn't colour the figures in on the card panel, or the suitcases in on the stamp on the scrap of cardstock. I used a Daniel Smith watercolour dot chart to colour the scene in.
Once all my paint was dry, I fussy cut around the two figures. Where the outline overlapped colour areas on the card panel, I added a little extra colour to the cut-out for seamless blending between the pieces. To finish the card, I embossed a sentiment from the stamp set onto a strip of Raven cardstock and foam mounted onto the card. Added score lines to background at 3/8" distance for additional interest. Lastly I added a few holographic sequins to embellish.
