Creating a Tag using Studio Light dies
Hello crafty friends! This week on my live, I created this fun tag using the Missees Primarina dies and stamps set. I had so much fun playing with all of the little pieces and imagining different and sometimes unexpected ways to use them. I also like the fact that it comes with the stamps to create the face. I used the Carte Bella Summer Collection and the Lace Borders dies to finish it off.
Die cut desired pieces. I started with the head and shoulders. I cut it out the desired skin tone and then used the die again to get 2 layers for her clothes.
There are several ways you can do the neckline. Watch the video to see a few options. I used the hairline die to create a fun collar out of Fiber Paper.
Then I cut the excess of her shirt away. Watch the video to see a few options.
I cut the gingham pattern paper to 7 ⅛” x 4” and added Simon Hurley Break up Blue to the edges.
I adhered it to the tag and added borders to the top (¾” x4”) and bottom (1 ¼” x 4”). I cut a lace border from Alabaster and trimmed off one side keeping the lace pattern intact.
I did the hair next in my video but I recommend stamping the face on first. I used Raven Ink for the eyes
and Simon Hurley Piggy Back for the nose.
I used Simon Hurley Rosy Cheeks for the lips.
I used a reddish brown pencil to create freckles and added Piggy Back with a small blending brush to give her a little color across her nose.
I cut out multiple hair pieces to experiment and added highlights with white gel pen.
I used Easy Tab foam to attach the head to the neck to add dimension. Adhere the various hair pieces. I added a little black heart to the neckline on the Fiber Paper collar.
I attached the word bubble with a foam dot and used the glue pen to attach the sentiment.
To complete the tag I added some black enamel dots and some ribbon.
