Dimensional card using stencil of the month.

Dimensional card using stencil of the month.

Hello friends, how is everyone doing today? School is almost out for my kids here in the state of Utah so that means life is starting to get busier and busier for us with camping trips and sports every night of the week, which in turn has me yearning to be home wishing I was crafting and coloring and creating something.
This week I wanted to do a more dimensional card, I thought about it and decided to use one of the many backgrounds I made during one of my lives on the Brutus Monroe Facebook fan page, this specific one I created using the gorgeous stencil of the month and thermoweb metallix paste. So here’s what I did:
I trimmed my background piece into several smaller strips.

Using a repositioning adhesive I placed all the strips I could fit on my white card base. From there I glued the smaller strips with permanent glue and mounted the larger ones in between using fun foam and I glued them in between the other strips I had just glued.

That gave it the dimension I was looking for. I trimmed an eight of an inch off each side and glued it to a white a2 size card base. Doesn’t that look elegant just as is!?

Now for my sentiment, you all know I love the super sentimental set for like almost all of the cards I make, so I stamped this sentiment on a piece of craft color card stock but a different shade than the background. I trimmed around it with a sharp pair of scissors and glued it in a place I thought looks good.

And there you have it. Since I already had my background ready to go from a previous week this took absolutely no time. I still have several more cards from that time that I need using so you might see them in future posts soon.
Alrighty, thank you so much for hanging out with me today, I hope I inspired you and that you will create something with the techniques shown today.
I will see you again on Wednesday on our weekly blog hop.
