Double Textured Card with Embossing Powder and Pearl Paste
Hello everyone!! Thank you for joining me here on the blog today. I have a double textured card with shine coming from embossing powder and pearl paste.
On Tuesday, I made several backgrounds with Aqua Pigments on a Facebook Live (here).
I used a smooshing technique, with two colors: fuchsia and orange. I trimmed down a piece of Aqua Pigment paper to 5.5 x 4.25”. I prepped the paper with some anti-static powder and stamped the image of the flowers and leaves from the Beautiful Blooms Stamp Set using my MISTI stamping tool and some B|M Clear Embossing Ink in two corners. Then I heat embossed the images with some Alabaster embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.
I dropped a few drops of each color on to my glass mat and sprayed some water over them to dilute them a bit. Then I ran my card stock over and through the Aqua Pigments, making sure to get more fuchsia in one corner and orange in the other.
Then, with an Aqua Pigment brush, I picked up some of the fuchsia and darkened in the flowers and buds. I did the same with orange in the opposite corner.
Then, after it dried, I laid the April Stencil of the Month over the other corners and spread some Orangesicle Pearl Paste over it and let it dry.
I trimmed the panel down to 5.25 x 4”. I sprayed it with some water to leave some white spots on the panel. Then, I sprinkled some fuchsia and orange pigments on the front using a brush and an acrylic block.
To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment in the middle with Marsala Surface Ink. I popped up the panel using some foam tape onto the front of an A2 sized card base.
I hope you enjoyed this double textured Aqua Pigment card using the Beautiful Blooms Stamp Set. I have added a grid of supplies below for your convenience.
