Easter love you card
Hello friends, welcome to another Monday card making post. Luisana here with yet another awesome and easy card made with Brutus Monroe products.
Unfortunately, and I apologize for it, but today’s set has been sadly discontinued from production, but hopefully I am still able to inspire to create something pretty for someone else today.
This set is called “Sweet Pops” and for this card I used the bunny head, the chick and the carrot, along with the pop cake stick and a simple sentiment.
I did have to make one mask for the chick and the stick, besides that everything was quick and easy. The card stock i am stamping on is 3.75” X 5”. I began by stamping the chick, wanted her to be the one up front. I proceeded to mask her and then i stamped the carrot and the bunny to each side. The mask on the chick made it so that the other images appeared to be behind the chick. Now it was time to stamp the sticks, i stamped the stick under the chick first, placed a mask over it and kept the mask there until all three sticks had been stamped. Again, the mask made it look like the other sticks were behind the one being masked. I colored each character using three different shades of yellow and orange for the chick and the carrot, and I used C1 and 00 for the bunny and some pink for his ears and cheeks. The sticks I colored using w1.
I stamped “LOVE YOU” in a scrap piece of cards stock and cut it to fit just the sentiment. I attached some glue foam pieces to the back of the sentiment and set it aside.
I cut another piece of cardstock to 3.75” X 5.25” and colored the edges using a light purple copic, since I didn’t have a colored card stock that matched the color I was looking for. I glued the first panel on top of the colored card stock and glued these two pieces to an A2 size card base.
Lastly I placed the sentiment right in the center where the pop sticks meet and called it a day.
That is it for me this week, thank you for hanging out with me today and I will see you all on Wednesday for our weekly hop.
Luisana.
