Emboss Resist Watercolor Tag

Emboss Resist Watercolor Tag

Hi and welcome back. I have a fun tag to share today that I made using an emboss resist technique, featuring Botanical Banners. Heat embossing was one of the first techniques that I fell in love with as a new card maker and I am still mesmerized with watching the powder melt. Does anyone share the same love? I just can't wait to show you my tag!
This tag was very easy to make, but required repeated stamping. Using my Misti, and prepping my watercolor panel with a magic powder bag, I stamped the Botanical Banners floral image with embossing ink. I repeated this process multiple times after applying icicle embossing powder, so that the images almost touched either.
Once the heat embossing was complete and cool, I watercolored the panel using Simon Hurley inks in the colors, Tropical Tango, Minty Fresh, Rosy Cheeks, and Triple Berry. I used an Aqua Pigment Water Brush to pick up the inks from my craft mat and quickly dropped the colors in and lightly picked up the excess with a paper towel.
Once dry the watercolor panel was cut into blocks to add a geometrical feel to the project. Click Labels were used for the fun sentiments and random embellishments that I had in my stash were added interest! And just like that we have a cool tag! I hope you give it a try!
