Fall is in the Air Card
Today I am sharing a card using on of the sets that I received during Create Your Own Ending (CYOE) Event last month. This was the Forever & Ever Set. Not only does it have some beautiful images for wedding and anniversaries, it also has a coordinating Stencil and Die set.
I thought I would change it up and make a Fall card. Fall is my favorite time of year. I started by stamping this gorgeous Arch with Embossing Ink and covered it with Sterling Embossing powder.
Once, I heat set it. I used the coordinating stencils to add my florals and leaves. After lining up my image, I used Simon Hurley Create. Shooting Star and Overzealous to ink blend the leaves. I wanted some of the leaves to just be turning but still have some green too. Next I used the second stencil to ink blend Simon Hurley CreateTraffic Cone over the flowers. However, I decided it didn't give enough of a punch for me. I looked through my stash of Glitter Glazes and chose an older one that was a glaze of the month. To keel the orange color you could use Unicorn Horn over it and it will add the sparkle but still let the color shine through or you could also use Tangerine Glitter Glaze.
I set the panel aside to dry, about 30 mins to an hour. Then I ran the panel through my die cut machine with a stitched frame from my stash. I adhered the whole thing to my white A2 Top folding card base. I grabbed a couple of Copic Yellow markers to fill in the lantern. (Be careful when coloring with Copics around heat embossing as it could damage the tips of your makers.)
For my sentiment, I went through my fall stamps and chose one that read Fall is in the air. Using my Misti, I stamped it with Embossing ink and once again covered it with Sterling Embossing Powder.
Finally, I went through my embellishments and found these Orange gems that had the same color as my Glitter Glaze florals. I added a few to add dimension to my arbor and some more shimmer.
