Forest Background
One of the new background stamps from Brutus Monroe, FOREST BACKGROUND, is such a fun stamp to play with and offers a great opportunity for coloring! I stamped this stamp out using my DETAIL INK and then colored the images in with my STYLEFILE MARKERS. The Detail Ink is perfect for coloring with alcohol markers because it does not bleed or run at all.
Once my background was all colored in, I also stamped and colored this little camper image. Then, to create the woodgrain panel, I stamped the woodgrain design and ink blended it in to the perfect brown shade. I ran this through my Sizzix with a border die to create that stitched border.
Then, after all my pieces were ready, I began to assemble my card. I cut some of the FOREST BACKGROUND down to size, and adhered the woodgrain over it. I fussy cut a few of the trees and then adhered them around the camper, which was adhered down with foam adhesive. I also placed a circle of vellum behind the camper just to help it stand out a little. The last few finishing touches were to add the sentiment and a twine bow. The sentiment was stamped from the TRUE LOVE: SAILING stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed today's card! Not only can you use the background stamp as a stunning card all by itself, but you can fussy cut some of the images from it to use in other ways, as well!
