Do you have a baby shower coming up? Or looking to make someone a special birth announcement or baby gift. This Elephant Easel Chalkboard just might be the perfect thing. Brutus Monroe has a wonderful line of unfinished wood items that can be altered in many different and exciting ways.
I took the Elephant Easel Chalkboard and coated it with two coats of White Paint . I always this to dry overnight. Next with a palette knife I took some Pearl Paste- Razzleberry and covered the white part of the elephant minus the chalkboard part. On the other side I did the same Pearl Paste- Cotton Candy . I allowed both sides to dry completely before starting the other side.
Using my Misti I took the flower stamp from the Spring Wreath Stamp Set and inked it with Embossing Ink. Used Embossing Powder-Gilded and heat set with my https://www.brutusmonroe.com/products/multipurpose-heat-tool. I thought it looked great just leaving it white and allowing the Alabaster Cardstock to show through. Next I cut out the flowers with my Fussy Cutting Scissors and attached the flowers with some 3D Zots so that it would be raised. One side I put "Baby Girl" and on the other I put the sticker "Baby Boy".
This project was pretty simple to make and makes a perfect center piece or gift for just that special person.
