Embossing Powder Details, Oh lala!

Embossing Powder Details, Oh lala!

Hey everyone! It's Jessica.

I'm so excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team! Yay! I'm so honored and grateful to be able to join such a wonderful group of humans. I'm waiting on some fun products to share with you but I thought I would go ahead and use the stamp set from the Guest Design posts, because I honestly love these feathers so much!
I started off by using the Bold Rainbow pattern paper collection. Stamping several of the detailed feathers from the Feathered Sentiments with Raven Detail ink and then I fussy cut those feathers out. I did heat set the ink before cutting just to make sure it was fully dry. This is my first time using this ink and wow it is sooo good!
For the base of my card I used a light gray cardstock and die cut where I wanted my center circle to go. I'm going to pop it up so this was easier for me to align everything. I also die cut that same circle with white cardstock and red craft foam. Two more feathers were used on the top and bottom of the circle. This time I used the Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Alabaster embossing powder.
For the sentiment I decided to use the "good luck" and "Oh lala" phrases from the Super Sentimental stamp set, while also using the arrows to accent my sentiment. This was all embossed with Gilded Embossing powder. I couldn't help but add some more of the gold shine to the outer edges of the light gray card stock too. This is easily done by taking your embossing clear ink and swiping it along the edges. You could do that in sections or per side but I went ahead and inked the edges then dumped the Gilded embossing powder over the top, shaking off the extra over a coffee filter. For all the embossing I let my heat gun heat up really well before melting the powder.
Now I can layer everything together. Using dry adhesive I attached my gray card stock piece to the center of a top fold A2 card base. Then added the red craft foam circle and the sentiment circle to the center with liquid glue. Now I can add my feathers to the edges of the circle, overlapping them slightly.
As a final embellishment I added a few of the Acrylic Bubbles with liquid glue. I just love all the shine from the embossing powders and the colorful feathers!
Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a great day.

Jessica ❤
