Hello Sunshine!

Hello Sunshine!

The stamps from the April Release were absolutely fabulous! There were four unique background stamps and a number of sentiment stamps that are perfect for mixing and matching to create fun and quick cards. This card was created with the Scribbles Background stamp and the "hello sunshine" sentiment from the Be Brave Stamp Set

First, I took the Scribbles Background stamp and inked it up with a rainbow selection of Distress Inks. I spritzed the inks with a little mist of water before stamping just to get the colors blending a little bit. When the ink was dry, I also used the Jagged Hearts Stencil to add a few subtle hearts on the bottom right corner with some white embossing paste.

While the embossing paste was drying, I took some vellum and embossed the "Hello Sunshine" sentiment from the Be Brave Stamp Set in Alabaster White Embossing Powder and then trimmed it down into a rectangle.

I also cut out a thin white cardstock frame to help the sentiment stand out a bit. I adhered the vellum and frame down, and then added a little gold washi tape to the top to give the impression that it was quickly taped to the front.

Lastly, to give the card a little more sparkle, I used the Glue Pad to add some adhesive around the corners of the frame and then sprinkled on some gold flakes, glitter, and sequins.

This turned out to be a very bright and happy card that fits perfectly with the sentiment!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Hope this is a fun look at some of these new stamps!

Until next time,
