Home Decor~Ink & Stamp Wood Frame
Hello! Happy Tuesday!
It's Kim back today and I have a simple quick project to share.
I have done this sort of project with my kids before, making a special handmade gift for the grandparents. Today I wanted to try it out with my Brutus Monroe Chalk Inks and Alabaster Pigment ink. The stamps are all part of the December Release.
I love these Ikea wood picture frames, they are unfinished wood and so simple. They're great for a last minute gift for any occasion.
Using various colors of Chalk Ink minis, I ran them over the smooth raw wood. I sponged some on with a make up wedge as well. I really love how the ink emphasizes the wood grain.
The floral bouquet is the Botanical Background stamp that measures 4"x6". I stamped it with the Alabaster Pigment Ink onto kraft card stock.
The ink dries quickly, but I used my heat tool just to make sure it was set.
The hearts and small flowers are from the Beautiful stamp set, stamped in Alabaster Pigment ink on top of the dry chalk inks.
For the photos I left the glass out of the frame to avoid the glare. I did heat set the Alabaster Pigment Ink on the wood as well just to make sure I did not smudge it.
They you go a fun fast project that the kids can do, too!
Have a great day!
