How to Create a Shaker Window with Topsy Cakes
Welcome back! I'm excited to share this fun card with you today- a shaker card with the TOPSY CAKES stamp set! I love this set because not only are the cake images so much fun, but you can also use them for a number of different occasions. Today's card is a birthday card, but you could also use this for weddings and other cake-worthy occasions!
I started by coloring in my images using my STYLEFILE MARKERS. These markers are so fun and easy to use, even for a beginner like myself. I have a quick video on my simple blending process using these markers. To see that video, CLICK HERE.
After my images were colored, I went to work on my shaker window. It's a very simple process! Just make a frame and a back piece, cut a window with a piece of acetate or other clear plastic, and then create a "container" for your shaker bits using some foam adhesive. After your shaker container is built, go ahead and fill it with some BOTTLE CAP SEQUINS. Here's the process video to help you see just how it's done!
Once my shaker window was built, the rest of the card was simple! I just layered some scraps of paper behind the window, layered the sentiment, and then adhered the cake images. I also added a bit of ribbon to the side to finish it off!
