How To Make A Happy Birthday Brutus & Friends Greeting Card

How To Make A Happy Birthday Brutus & Friends Greeting Card

Linda here to share How To Make A Happy Birthday Brutus & Friends Greeting Card.

The stamps used are from the super cute set: Chuck Carson Collection - Brutus & Friends. Love all the little accessories that came with this stamp set. So many options for creating wonderful scenes.

This project required some masking. I stamped the images on scrap paper and used Zig two way glue to turn the cut out images into sticky masks. Now there is masking paper in the Brutus Monroe store, this will make masking so much easier in the future!

Once the masks were made it was easy to create this card. Stamp the desired images on the card. Place the masks over the images. Create the background using other masks and blending tool.

Spray some Shimmer Chalk Spray and Tattered Angel sprays to get desired look. Over stamp with grass image. Could also use a marker and draw grass marks.

Water color pencils were used to color in Brutus and the dog house. Then using a paint brush dipped into the Copper Liquid Element spray blended the water color pencil.

The image was then mounted on a standard A2 card.

Here is a video of the process:

What I love about these images is I get to color. The fad right now is adult coloring books. Using stamps I'm able to create one of a kind greeting cards. I could also stamp out images and give as a gift with a set of colored pencils. A two in one gift.

Don't be afraid of images that need to be colored. Embrace the challenge and have fun with these images.
