Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Button, so good to be back up on the blog again. For today's post I wanted to create a beautifully decorated pillow gift box using one of Brutus Monroe's gorgeous stamp set: Botanical Banners. I absolutely love this set because it has some great bold banner sentiments and then this beautiful rose stamp! So read on to find out how easy it is for you to create one too!
I Love you gift box details:
To start off, I brushed my kraft gift box with an anti-static tool as I planned to heat emboss the stamp. I choose to go with the Penny Embossing powder as I though this paired well with the warm tone of the Kraft box.
Once I stamped the rose stamp with embossing ink and heat set it, I got on to colouring in the flowers. I didn't want the colour of the flowers to overtake the beautiful embossing from the stamp so I used two gold pearlescence watercolour paints.
Isn't this white gold rose exquisite?! As not to distract from the flowers, I kept the leaves as they were, which also helped lift the flowers out from the background.
The sentiments in this set are fabulous, and many would pair very well on this gift box. I choose to go with the 'I love you' sentiment and heat embossed this in Raven embossing powder. I trimmed the sentiment down and foam mounted this onto the box.
Lastly to finish the box off, I embellished with white and black nuvo drops to co-ordinate with the colour scheme.
If you love the Penny Embossing powder, check out this video from Christopher Alan himself, telling you all about its fantastic properties!
