June Stamp Club- Happy Father's Day!

Welcome back! Today you get a look at the June Stamp Club stamps! There are two stamps for June and they both have a Father's Day theme (although you can use them at any time, as well). There's a fun sentiment that says, "World's Greatest Dad" along with a cute mustache image, and the other stamp says "Happy Father's Day". I love the image on the Fathers Day stamp because the dad is wearing the classic dad glasses that my own Father still wears today. 

For this first card, I grabbed the "World's Greatest Dad" stamp and stamped it out with some Raven Black Detail Ink, and then punched it out with my circle punch. I also layered it over a larger scalloped circle punch and added some ribbon to make it look like an award ribbon. 

For the background of this card, I grabbed my Man Plan Stamp Set and using just the mustache image, stamped it on my card base to create a background. I stamped the image going diagonally in the upper left corner, and then half way turned it and stamped the rest straight. I just liked the look of breaking up the direction of the background so it had a little more interest. 

I did some very simple coloring on the mustaches with just a few shades of brown Prismacolor pencils. Then, to finish the card, I adhered the award ribbon I created to the front. Very simple and easy! Sometimes I find that masculine cards can be tricky for me, but keeping it simple helps! 

The next card is just as simple. I used my Pugsley Stencil along with some black embossing paste to create the vertical black stripes on the background. Then, as the background was drying, I stamped the "Happy Father's Day" stamp on some white cardstock and again punched it out with my circle punch. 

When the embossing paste was dry, I adhered the punched circle sentiment to the background with foam adhesive, and that was it! Just keeping the Dads in mind that I am sending these to, I knew they would appreciate a simple card over a fussied-up one.
