Hello Fellow Crafters! Welcome, and Thanks for Stopping By!
Have you ever seen a stamp or cutting die, and just saw something else? Or sometimes, do you just need to stretch those supplies? Today’s card is all about the
Fence Builder Die. I saw this die and thought, yes, I can use it as a fence, but this die can be so much more! Before we get to the die, let’s start with the background.
To create the background, I used the
Brutus Monroe Rainbow Mixed Media Stencil with the
Opal Metallic Chroma Glaze to stencil over gray colored cardstock. Once dry, I cut the background into a square card panel and adhered it to a 5.25" white card base. Next, I used the Fence Builder Die to cut a fence using white pearlescent paper and glued it to the card. Then with one of the fence posts die, I cut posts using green and red glitter paper. Once the pieces were die-cut out, I arranged it to form a wreath and adhered it to the white fence.
I saw my card and I thought I needed a little bit more! So, I die-cut out 4 more red glitter paper fence posts, folded and glued them individually. After they were dry, I then glued 2 folded posts together to form a bow. After creating 2 bows for the fence, I created another one using the same method as above, to adhere next to my sentiment. The sentiment is from the
Falliday Silhouette Stamp Set, and I embossed it using the
Brutus Monroe Poinsettia Embossing Powder. To ensure the sentiment stood out, I stamped it on
vellum and fussy cut it to size.
Time for the finishing touches! I glued blue-gray iridescent gemstones around the sentiment and glued a silver ribbon bow to the wreath. Season’s Greetings Crafters!
