Lot's of Love
Hello and welcome back! I am so excited to share this project with you for so many reasons, one being it's the first technique I learned and remains my favorite. The second reason is because I made a wedding a card using the colors from my wedding... so many great memories! My favorite technique is heat embossing with ink resist. In my opinion, watching embossing powder is magically mesmerizing! If you have never tried it before, I highly recommend it.
For my card I started by using whitewash card stock and stamped the Lot's of Love background stamp using Brutus Monroe embossing ink. Prior to stamping I treated the paper with the Magic Powder Bag to get rid of any oils from my fingers or static. Once stamping using my Misti, I applied Alabaster Embossing Powder
Next using a makeup brush i applied Memento Angel Pink dye ink to the panel
My next steps were to stamp the Special Day with Distress Oxide Antique Linen and then dusted it with Perfect Pearls. I then Stamped the Tux with Night of Navy ink, and then cut both images out with my cut n scan. On Midnight card stock stamped out the sentiment from Special Day and heat embossed it with Alabaster embossing powder and applied it to the card layer. For the construction of the card I used Midnight card stock to make and A2 card base, layered with silver mirror cards stock, and the embossed background layer. For final touches I added flowers from my stash that resembled the flowers I had at my wedding accompanied by white tulle. For a little touch of sparkle I added clear acrylic bubbles
