Love Sailing
Along with the City Sidewalk Stamps, Brutus Monroe has these two adorable stamp sets titled, "True Love-Sailing" and a "True Love- Luggage". I was so excited to be able to create with these stamps because the images are so endearing and the sentiments match perfectly.
This weeks card showcases the Love Sailing stamp set.
The Misti was the perfect tool to stamp out this image, since it made it possible to stamp it multiple times to get a crisp, black image. After the image was stamped out, I used Prismacolor Colored Pencils to color it in. Prismacolor pencils are a new tool in my craft stash so I am still learning to blend and use them, but I find them very easy to work with so far!
After the image was colored, I ran it through my Sizzix with a circle die to cut it out. There were a few patterned papers in my stash that fit perfectly with the theme so I went ahead and layered them onto the card to build the scene.
The sentiment is a mix from some stickers in my stash and the little "adventure" stamp from the set. The "adventure" is stamped and embossed in white. I popped up the sentiment and the image with some foam adhesive, and then the last step was to add just a bit of raffia ribbon tied into a bow.
Here's a quick video of the process in case you are interested in watching!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Until next time,
