Lucky Charm
Hi,
Today's card is an all purpose thank you card for that person in your life that makes everything just a little better. It is as if they are indeed your lucky charm. With them all things are possible. I used the Brutus Monroe thanks die and the sentiment from the Lucky You stamp set. The leaves are die cut from Brutus Monroe heavyweight vellum and silver cardstock.
The silver card stock was cut into a standard A-7 card front, then I die cut the leaves out of the center of the silver layer. (No use and wasting all that lovely silver cardstock behind the layer one blue card stock). Next I die cut the leaves from the heavyweight Brutus Monroe vellum. Using a bit of leftover scrap paper in a darker but coordinating color of blue I stamped the sentiment and die cut the thanks. Using another scrap of white (alabaster) cardstock to be the backdrop for the sentiment, I was ready to assemble the card. When affixing the pieces I chose to allow the vellum layer of leaves to remain partially attached to give some movement to the card and used foam tape to give height to the sentiment. Finally, I added a few sequins and the card was finished.
