Media Weaving
Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing a bright Birthday card using some fun Brutus Monroe Products and paper weaving!
For this card I have applied the pattern to plain white cardstock using Pumpkin Patch Velveteen Glaze and Night Sky Velveteen Glaze through the August Stencil of the Month. I mixed a small amount of Media Paste with my glazes to thicken them a bit.( This does lighten the Velveteen Glaze color slightly). Once dry I cut each pattern into strips. I then weaved the strips to create a pattern and adhered that to Raven cardstock.
Using Raven Detail Ink and the Extra Sentimental Stamp Set, I stamped the Happy Birthday! sentiment onto white cardstock, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and fussy cut. The card base is made using dark Midnight Cardstock. To finish my card I adhered orange and white mattes under my weaved piece, adhered them to my card base and then added the sentiment using foam adhesive squares.
