October Release!

This month's release was so fun to play with! There is a number of great new stamps, all in a variety of styles! A fun zoo-themed stamp for your favorite three year old, some coffee cups (a new favorite of mine!), two new background stamps, and a few other sets! I was able to use all of the sets on these cards. I'll give you a quick look at each one today, and a closer look in some of my upcoming blog posts.

The first card I made was this classy, clean and simple one. I used the new WATER LILY BACKGROUND STAMP to add a masked and embossed circle to the background. Then, I fussy cut a few of the florals from the stamp and layered them in front. I also added a silhouette from the new CREATE A CAMEO stamp set that I stamped in the color OZ. 

Next, I moved on to the new COZY COFFEE stamp set. I love this one! There are several different styles of cups to stamp and color, and some fabulous sentiments (one of which I borrowed for the card above). I stamped out a number of the cups, colored them in with my STYLEFILE markers, and then fussy cut them. After creating an ink smooshed background to look like spilled coffee, I added the coffee cups on foam adhesive and one on an action wobbler. So fun! 

My next card is very clean and simple- just some STYLEFILE coloring on the new JOEYS THIRD BIRTHDAY stamp! I love this little scene- the little 3yr old boy in front of a zoo entrance with balloons and cute zoo critters. What 3yr old wouldn't love a birthday at the zoo! 

This next card was so much fun to make! I combined the new BAROQUE BACKGROUND stamp with the Brutus Monroe colors of COLOR BURSTS. The stamp is embossed in PENNY, and then MARSALA and CORNFLOWER Color Bursts layered on top. I wanted the background to stand out, so I added a strip of vellum and a simple sentiment. 

Last, but not least, I used the ROAD TRIP stamp set to embellish a page from a mini file folder album I have been working on. I love the idea of using these images as a travel themed journal or scrapbook page, but there are sentiments included in the set that would make this a perfect set for everyday cards!
