"Owl Always Love You" Watercolored Tag
Hello! It's Marie Nicole again with a fun and easy little tag that I created using Brutus Monroe's "Owl Always Love You" stamp!
When I first looked at this stamp set I thought those owls looked so cute! I also thought they would be a lot of fun to watercolor!
I started out by stamping the owls onto a piece of watercolor paper. I originally planned on making the image into a card, but it ended up that I really liked how they looked on this long piece of paper. So, I kept them as is and just rounded the edges and added and eyelet and some twine. Easy peasy tag!
Most of the work on this piece went into the watercoloring. For that I used some different shades of brown Distress Ink. I tried to add the darker shades around where there would be more shadows, and then keep the rest of it fairly light. I also took my white gel pen and added just a few white speckles to their feathers. I think adding a little white here and there can always make an image pop!
Next, I stamped the sentiment on the other side of the tag in some Versafine black ink. I then took a little more Distress Ink and just inked the edges all around the tag.
Lastly, I die cut a tiny heart that I stamped, colored it with red Distress Ink, and added some stickles to it. Then, I took a tiny piece of foam adhesive and adhered the heart right in between the owls. So cute!
I like how this can be a fun tag to send on its own to a loved one, or you could easily use it as a bookmark as well. Maybe write a personal note or memory on the back of it and stick it in your planner! Lots of fun ideas here!

I hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration on how you can use this stamp set in your own crafting! There is also a coordinating cut in the digital section of the store, so if you are interested in that head on over to check it out!
I also made a process video on how this tag came together. Enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Remember, you can always "Create Your Own Ending" and use this stamp in any way that inspires you!
Happy Crafting!
