Pig'n Out Together - Thanksgiving Layout
Hey there! MJ here, and I'm excited to share this fun layout with you! As temps heat up in the Phoenix-metro area, it's got me dreaming of cooler weather (and, of course, pie).
Ryan and I are both total foodies, so as soon as I saw this adorable Polly the Piggy stamp and die set, I knew that I was going to use it for a fun food layout! Wreaths always feel super fall and fun to me, so I decided to use create my own colorful wreath of adorable piggies to document our Thanksgiving feast.
This layout was also my first adventure in embossing, which has always been something that I have wanted to try! The Ice Cream Trio Embossing Powders were the perfect powders to use for this layout, because I wanted to use a variety of fun and festive colors to bring this page to life! To add a colorful mix and match effect to the piggies, I ended up alternating the colors of the pigs and embossing powders that I used for each individual piggy.
After I embossed a dozen or so pigs, I chose my favorites, and organized them all into a wreath/ circle shape in the order that I wanted them to appear on the page. I used my MAKE ART STAY-tion to hold the pigs in place, while I attached two strips of adhesive to each side of each pig, creating an adhesive "bridge" between each one. You don't need to remove the backing from the adhesive, but you will eventually want to add some adhesive foam dots to the back of each pig, to provide them with an extra touch of dimension.
To finish off this page, I just embellished my page with photos, ephemera, and some orange foam stickers to create all of the fall vibes! If you would like to see more projects from me, please check out my Instagram page :)
