Quick and easy card with Glitter Glaze by Sweta
Hello friends! Today I wanted to share a quick and easy card with you. Many times we are in a rush to put something together at a moments notice and this is one such card.
I used Alabaster glitter glaze on a hot pink card stock over the Antique Trellis stencil (my current favorite - I have two videos on Brutus Monroe’s Youtube channel in case you’d like to check it out). Whilst that was drying I took a 2.5 inch piece of Metallic Gold Card stock and tore one edge to give it a deckled edged.
Next I splattered some Aqua Pigment in gilded over dark navy card stock. Going back to the panel of glitter glaze, I made sure it was dry before proceeding to die cut it with a tag die. I still had left over panel available to use for a future project.
I also die-cut the inside word ‘happy’ from Christopher’s Sentiments with the same navy card stock and its shadow in vellum. Finally I heat embossed the sentiment ‘birthday’ in gilded embossing powder to match the overall look of this card.
To assemble the card, I first tied a white and gold twine onto the tag and wrapped it around the gold strip. I adhered down the gold strip with liquid glue and I added some foam tape behind the tag before adhering it to the card base.
And finally adhered the word ‘happy’ and ‘birthday’ (with a strip of foam tape) onto the tag and that completed this card. I like the fact that this card does not require any other coloring medium and can be tailored easily for gender neutral cards and different occasions to keep on hand.
