Rustic Farmhouse Style Mini Album by Jenn DuBell
Hello everyone! For my project this week I wanted to create a fun mini album using some amazing papers that are available at Brutus Monroe.
I have used the 6" X 6" Farmhouse Florals and 6" X 6" Weathered Wood paper collections. Both of these come with 24 sheets 3 of each of the 8 patterns.
The two of them work amazingly together! I also used black and kraft cardstocks. My album is 6" X 6" and has a 1" spine. Inside there are 4 waterfall pages on each side and the middle contains 3 pages. The hinges in the middle of my album were created using the Page Positioner Die.
When the album is open there are 4 sideways waterfall pages that measure 4 1/2" X 5 1/2". The fronts are covered in the designer papers and the backs were left black for attaching other elements. Next, the pages attached to the middle hinges. The front of the first is a pocket created by fussy cutting the paper. Inside the pocket is a tag. The back of this page is matted in kraft and a belly band for tucking mementos. The middle is a full pocket and the third is a photo mount on one side and kraft/belly band tuck in on the back. The back cover also has a 4 page sideways waterfall the same as the front.
A black satin ribbon was attached and wrapped from front to back for a tie closure. The back and spine were matted in sheets of the Farmhouse Florals Papers ( 5 7/8" X 5 7/8") and the spine was matted in a strip ( 7/8") of the Weathered Wood Paper.
For the cover I used a sheet of the same pattern (5 7/8" X 5 7/8") followed by a matte in kraft ( 5 1/4" X 5 1/4"). I cut one of the Weathered Wood Sheets (4 5/8" X 4 5/8") I cut the middle grey wood portion away and glued it down. I then added foam adhesive tape to the back of the frame portion to elevate it. Next I added more fussy cut flowers from the paper and some chippies from my stash. For a finishing touch I stamped the jar from the March Inspiration Box in Raven Detail Ink onto Perfect Blend Alcohol Marker Cardstock and colored it. I fussy cut it and added a jute bow and adhered it using foam adhesive squares.
All of the paper corners inside my album as well as the front and back and spine pieces were rounded using a 7mm corner rounder.
Thanks so much for visiting the blog and viewing my post today! As always have an amazing crafty day!
Jenn
