Hello Everyone and Tuesday!
Today I have a quick and simple card project with the City Sidewalks stamp sets! We have new ones that came out recently and I have a few from previous releases and the empty snow globe. So I thought it would be fun to create snow globe shaped cards!
The most recent to be released was the City Side Walks: Orlando and the City Side Walks: Phoenix. To create the shaped cards you need the coordinating die which is available to purchase separately. I colored my image first on alcohol friendly cardstock, I then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I used another piece of cardstock along with the same die to cut another globe shape out to use for my back piece and then scored it.
After scoring your back piece, bend it back and fourth a little so it will be flexible after you adhere it. Now would be a good time to add your sentiment. To adhere, use your Brutus Monroe craft glue above the score line. I recommend liquid glue to give you that couple of seconds of wiggle room to line your two pieces up. Using score tape will not give you that wiggle room. And your Brutus Monroe craft glue will hold your card, it's a good strong craft glue.
To embellish my cards I added Glossy accents, Wink of Stella and twine.
On the empty snow globe it required a little masking, but was so fun adding the little fox from the Dreamcatching stamp set! I also added an acrylic bubble to this snow globe because I lost the water bubble during masking and that was the perfect embellishment!
I hope you enjoyed this fun tutorial. I've listed below all of the City Sidewalks collection and supplies I've used today!
