Snowman Slider Card | Aqua Pigment Background
Hello everyone! I just joined the Brutus Monroe team and I am excited to share this card with you! Today I created a fun slider card using Aqua Pigment paints and the Snow Friends stamp set.
I started by taping a 6x6 piece of watercolor paper to a board. Taping it down helps to prevent warping while I paint. I used Aqua Pigment paints to create my background. I used the colors Tinsel Blue, Blue Green, Turquoise, Blue, Blue Violet, and Black. I didn’t wash my brush between colors, and because the Tinsel Blue is metallic all of the other paint got really sparkly. After finishing the painting I used a white paint to add stars. I got a paintbrush really saturated with paint and tapped it over background to create the stars. Once the paint was dry I removed the tape and trimmed the panel down.
Next I took the Snow Friends stamp set and stamped a bunch of the snowflakes on the background with embossing ink. I embossed them with Alabaster, Sterling, and Rainbow Sparkle embossing powders. I am in love the with Rainbow Sparkle embossing powder!
I stamped one of the snowmen from the stamp set onto some watercolor paper with Raven Detail Ink. I colored the snowman in with Aqua Pigment paints and fussy cut it out. I cut a curve out of a piece of white cardstock to create a hill for my background. I painted the cardstock with Pearl Aqua Pigment paint so that it would be nice a glittery. I used a slider die to cut a slider area along the edge of the hill. Check out the video to see how the slider was put together! Once the slider was made I glued my snowman to the penny so that it slides down the hill.
To finish up the card I took my background panel and adhered it to a 6x6 card base. I used another stamp from the Merry And Bright stamp set to add a sentiment to the inside of the card which says “Let it Snow.”
I hope you enjoyed this card! Have an awesome day!
