Stamp Club- Happy Birthday to someone very special to all of us at Brutus Monroe
Hello card making friends,
Just want to wish our owner and creator of Brutus Monroe a very Happy
Birthday! In his honor I have made a card celebrating his day using the Stamp Club of the month stamp. (remember what a great deal Stamp Club is, for $5 you get a great stamp set and shipping)
This card was made from leftover paper scraps all cut to 1/4 inch strips. I then adhered the strips to a piece of paper. Next using the stitched square die I cut out the background for the focal point of the card. The birthday cake from the Stamp Club set was stamped in Raven Detail Ink and scan and cut out. Using StyleFile Markers to color the cake, I then coated the icing on the cake with glossy accents to give the icing a little shine. I also used it on the candle flame.
I determined where the square would go on the layer one (4 in x 5 1/4 in) piece of Alabaster cardstock and stamped the birthday sentiment on the layer. Next I adhered the square to the card layer. Using foam tape I attached the birthday cake onto the stripped background. Then I added a few enamel dots in coordinating colors and adhered the card layer to a coordinating card base.
