Tea Time + Mosaic Embossed Background

Hi, friends! Welcome back to the blog! Today I have a fun little card to share with you using the TEA TIME STAMP SET! I love this set and all the fun images of tea pots, stacks of cups, and a few fun sentiments. I also used the PETAL LACE EMBOSSING FOLDER on the background. 

First, I ran my cardstock through my Sizzix along with the PETAL LACE FOLDER. Then, I cut that panel into a number of smaller squares and rectangles of varying dimensions. I did this with my paper trimmer, but you could easily do this technique using the MOSAIC PUNCH, as well! 

I then arranged the embossed pieces on the background at an angle, until the whole card front was covered. It gives some visual interest to the card without being too overwhelming! 

I also cut a few squares from kraft cardstock, and stamped some little tea bags and hearts to create a subtle pattern. This was just another stamp set I had in my stash, but it coordinates well with the tea theme! 

I added those kraft panels to the sides of my card with foam adhesive. Then, I created a little shaker "tea bag" using a glassine bag, a little glitter, and some twine. I adhered that in between the kraft pieces, and then added my tea cups and pot to the front. 

Once my pieces were all adhered down, I simply added the sentiment to finish the card! 

These images were so fun to color in and use on my cards! All coloring was done with my STYLE FILE MARKERS, and I just love the look!
