Thanks for Keeping Me Steady
Linda here to share Thanks for Keeping Me Steady from the Terry's Trains stamp set and some of the kraft paper from the Midway Mixed Media paper pad.
The Terry's Trains set is a lot of fun to play with and I really enjoy this bicycle stamp.
For this project I decided to use a piece of the kraft paper from the Midway Mixed Media paper pad and some scraps. When I'm done with a project if there are any pieces of paper left over I save these. The papers are stored in 12 by 12 pockets. That way when I have an idea and I only want a scrap of paper and not a whole sheet I can pull out the pocket of brown and find bits to use.
Cutting down the kraft to just under 4.25 by 5.5 to fit as a topper for my A2 card (this is a half sheet of 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper that has been folded in half). Take the Bicycle stamp from Terry's Trains and stamp with Detailed Ink - Raven. Offset the stamping, stamp a row across the top, then the next row start off the paper, continue until the paper is covered with bicycles. Use the stamp pad to ink around the edges.
Stamp the sentiment - Thanks for keeping me steady with Detailed Ink - Raven on a scrap of kraft. Cut this into an arrow and ink around the edges with the Raven ink.
Cut a piece of dark brown scrap about 3.5 inches long and ink around the edges. Layer the sentiment on top. Add brads to the corners and place pop dots on the back.
Select five scraps of brown papers that are about 2.5 to 3.5 inches long. Cut each end into a pennant.
Use a scrap of burlap about four inches long and about 2.5 inches tall as a layer on the card. Adhere with glue of choice.
Layer scraps of brown on top of burlap. Place sentiment on top.
For the final touch use It's Black Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and splatter the card.
This is a great Thank you card. Something to send to tell someone Thanks for Keeping Me Steady.
